Hello,
I'm using Horizon with View 5.3.1 in vSphere 5.5.
We are in a test phase for a Win7 linked clone pool. After recompositioning a guest it looses its OS. It stays in a boot loop telling me that the OS can't be found.
Any advice?

AWo, did you ever get this worked out?
Not yet, other things hit me in the meantime. But I will start from scratch as suggested and come back here soon.

I tried it again, same result: No operating system found after recompositioning. ![]()

I saw this KB and thought of you. Not sure it helps but grasping at straws at this point.
I'll check that. In the meantime, could it be related to the new boot system in W7 where the disk ID of the boot manager is compared to the disk ID of the MBR?
Cheers

Your KB article did it. Thank you very muched, you saved my day. ![]()
But there is still one question. Why does that happen? Why does that happen always and for every guest? I'll check the boot order, as mentioned in that KB and come back.
Cheers

The boot order of the master image is:
- Removable Devices
- Hard Drive
- CD-ROM
That looks pretty as the standard.
How should I proceed with this when we try to recomposition many guests as during my tests always all guests were affected.

The thing continues: Why does the NVRAM file gets corrupted
