Adding View to current vSphere installation

We already have vSphere 4 vCenter with three esxi hosts. What do we have to purchase to use View with 10 virtual desktops?

View is sold in increments of 10, you will either need to purchase the Enterprise or Premier editions. You will have to decide which features you need. Premier is worth the extra cost, in my opinion. With Premier you get Composer and Local Mode.

I like the Premier version as well. But the pricing info is confusing. Can we just buy the Premier 10 user Add-on or must we also purchase the starter package? The starter package seems like a waste since we already have vSphere in place.

You do not have to buy the Starter package, you can just buy the Add-on package. The only difference is the Add-on does not come with vSphere 4 or vCenter. More info here.
