Add domain to View Administrator fails with "bad domain name"

Hello.

My VCenter Server 4.1 lies on domain A and my Connection Server 5 on domain B. The domains have no trust relationship and they shouldn't have.

After adding VCenter Server in View Administrator, View Composer by default can access domain A. As I need to add domain B as well because I would like my linked clones to be members of it, process fails with error "bad domain name".

I have typed:

     *full domain name: mydomain.local

     *user: user

     *password: ****

I have also tried mydomain\user and mydomain.local\user but made no difference.

Moreover, I have added records in both hosts files of VCenter Server ("x.x.x.x domain B") and Connection Server.

Do you have any idea about what I should do?

Thank you in advance.

Give as user: domainname\user

in VC and Connection server, provide DNS, which can resolve both the domains (or configure conditional forwarder)

The root cause is View composer service is unable to reso,ve the domain accouns. Please make sure this is addressed
