On ESXi 5.x the paravirtual SCSI adapter is supported as the the boot and system disk for a Windows 7 machine. By default, Windows 7 leverages the LSI Logic SAS controller. Is there a reason why I would NOT want to leverage the paravirtual adapter for a desktop pool of linked clones? And I guess on the flip side, do the performance gains from the paravirtual adapter (as opposed to the LSI Logic SAS adapter) translate as well into Windows 7 guest VM's?
Edit*: Bigger question, is the Paravirtual Adapter supported by vmware within a Horizon View environment?
Thanks -
