About the licensing of VDM

I have a problem licensing the VDM. I bought a licence bundle for 100 VMs but I don't know how to license my View Manager Server.

I'm aware that VI3 licensing method is using licences files(.lic) , but the method used by VDM is diferent, because it uses a licence key instead of a licence file.

How do I get that licence key with the activation code provided in the licence envelop. ?

You must have a serial code (like ESXi code or new code for vSphere).

Usually is in the email with the VI 3.5 code.

Then you have only to put this code on your View Manager.

How did you get the VI 3.5 license code for ESX and VC?

In the same way you must receive also the View license.

Ask at your reseller to see where is the missing license.
