I have a problem with a View Connection Server, View service and VMwareVDMDS won't start.

I tried to uninstall view connection server and then ADLS but I have an error : could not connect to the ADLDS instance SERVER:389. Error 58

What can I do?

Thanks

If this instance has been running for a while you should have the automatic backups stored in the following location on your Connection Server(s):

C:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\backups

You will likely have to reinstall View at this point as it looks like the AD LDS instance hosting the View data is corrupt. You can take the backups from the directory above and use the instructions at the following link to restore this data into a fresh Connection Server instance:

Restoring View Connection Server and View Composer Configuration Data

Once restored you can install other replica Connection Servers as needed to build back up to whatever you had before.
