3d Acceleration? Google Earth

Hi all,

is there a way to run google earth on vm's?

I've heard about that there is no 3d Acceleration in vmware vm's..

My users don't want to use maps.google.com Smiley Sad

Unfortunately, you are correct. There is currently no 3d acceleration on View VMs.

Hmmmm ... We installed Google Earth on a pool of desktops for DEMO purposes. This was with DevonIT's TC5D linux based thin clients and VIEW 4.01 using PCoIP. Overall is seemed quite usable. Not super fast but still It worked better than expected.
