We've got a small Horizon setup still in the deployment process.
So, we've installed two Connection Servers, and put them behind NSX Load Balancer and until that point, it works fine, we've eliminated the error with connection (even by just clicking VMware Horizon HTML Access) - with a locked.properties file. That went ok. We successfully make also our own SSL certs which works fine in our LAN network - so we see VMware Horizon "welcome page" whatever we put - IP, fqdn of both Connection Servers, or the fqdn of Virtal Server IP for NSX Load Balancer.
As we're using a subscription model we need to deploy Horizon Edge Gateway on our on-prem environment to acquire a license for Connection Servers.
So we generated the OVA file from Cloud Console for that purpose, successfully deployed it, and it was successfully paired with cloud console. The next step of the deployment of that Horizon Edge is to provide detail about our connection server. We provide those details, with the proper username and password. That user is a user in our Active Directory, and it is inside the group that has administrative rights on Connection Servers.
During that process on the cloud console, we accepted our SSL certificate for Connection Servers
However Edge Status and as well as the Provider status (which is our on-prem) - is failed.
The detailed error says - 401 Unauthorized: [no body].
Obviously, we're not able to get any user logged to the Connection server except for the admin panel. Since logging into the VMware Horizon Portal gives us an error Horizon Connection Server License key is invalid.
As per our understanding, we just need to get this Edge Horizon Gateway properly connected to the Universal Cloud Console - and our Horizon Connection Servers will be automatically licensed.
