I have a problem when I try to convert a Import VM to Image.
After import and custom of the Import VM I don't see information of my VM
And when try to publish my image VM:
Azure VM is powered on
Do you have any idea? What can I check?
I found a workaround for not lose any customization apply to the import VM, I have "cloned" the Azure VM.
I am start from the VMware documentation for create a Import VM without use the Azure MarketPlace.
Manually Build the Master Virtual Machine in Microsoft Azure
In the documantation it is indicate that any Azure VM on Resource Group vmw-hcs-podID-base-vms are automatically inventory like a inventory VM.
This are the step for clone my Azure VM win10-1909-CAD:
- Create a OS disk snapshot of Azure VM win10-1909-cad
- Create a Managed disk from snapshot
- Create a Azure VM (on Resource group vmw-hcs-podID-base-vms) started from the Managed Disk create from snapshot. (In my case the name of new Azure VM are win10-1909-cad)
and automatically the section inventory VM display my new VM:
the next step is agent paired.
The Win10-1909-CAD-01 Azure VM is ready to publish
Bye
