Create an Alarm for VM Network Outage / No Network Access

Im running vsphere 7.0.3

I am trying to set up an alarm when any of our VMs lose network connectivity / No Network Access. I have the following settings but I don't get any alarms when I uncheck the vNIC within the VM settings

  • Target Type: Virtual Machine
    • IF:  VM No Network Access
  • THEN:  Trigger the alarm and show as Warning

Still no Alarm / Warning, I logged into the Windows VM, disabled the ethernet, and also unchecked the vNIC within the VM settings.  I also refreshed the webpage multiple times.

If you have vrops  you can configure set of IP's ping status with ping check from vrops and email alert with SMTP.
