VMware Fusion Tech Preview (for M1) hands on launch after upgrade to Monterey 12.1

Hi

After upgrading to Monterey 12.1 Fusion Tech Preview no longer launches correctly - CPU (1 core) usage sits at 100% and Fusion does not open either the Library Window or any Virtual Machine Windows.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know how to get it working again?

... quick update ... after leaving it run for 10 minutes Fusion eventually starts. Seems strange.
