It would be great to support macOS Guests for at least the versions that support M1 (so Big Sur and Monterey)

Apple didn't provide support for virtualizing macOS on Apple silicon until Monterey. So, if VMware implements it, it will be limited to Monterey and later.

And since Monterey is the first version to support the paravirtualized GPU that Monterey can provide to guests, and macOS for M1 requires a GPU, (it has no software renderer at all) it will only run Monterey or newer.
