can't choose windows as OS type

Hello 

When I try to install windows 11 arm I need to choose the OS type.

I can't chose windows, there is no option.

I understand this issue causes me not to be able to install vmware tools.

Please help as I really want it to work.

1) Where did you get the install media from?

2) Are you following the instructions in both the preview guide and the unofficial guide?

Looks to me that you don't have the latest Tech Preview version installed. Versions older than Professional Version e.x.p (20191287) )do not have Windows as an operating system that you can select for a virtual machine. Those older versions also do not contain VMware Tools that support Windows 11.

Check the version of the Tech Preview by clicking from the menu bar  VMware Fusion > About VMware Fusion. It should should show Professional Version e.x.p (20486664)
