vcbmounter + windows proxy + linux snapshot??????????

Running vcb from a Windows 2k3 host - able to mount window's VMs no problem ... trying to mount Linux VM - have tried both the "- m san" and "-n nbd" switches and still getting "failed to open disk : NBD_ERR_GENERIC" error. Is this even possible? Or do I need to have a separate Linux proxy?

Are you trying to backup on file or image level? Filelevel Backups are only possible on Windows VMs.

Further on, the vdisk must be located on a SAN Lun visible and accessable to the VCB Proxy and can not be an RDM.
