most efficient way to setup lab environment using vmware ?

hello,

i have a production vmware

infrastructure. it consists of several esx hosts, an iscsi san, and

about 12 virtual machines. i'd like to get some of these machines into

a lab environment, what is the most efficient way to accomplish this ?

also have a couple physical machines as well, which i plan on using

the p2v tool for . thanks

1. Create separate VLAN for Lab VMs, and use traffic shaping to limit bandwidth

2. Create new resource pool for Lab VMs, to control resource utilization(configure "share" = low)

3. Use/Take snapshots before allocating VMs to users, So you can revert it back once activity is over.
