emc mirrorview with think provisioned VMs

we are using emc mirrorview/synchronous on a clariion cx310c to replicate luns containing esx data stores. the IO on the raid group containing these luns at the DR site is very high and it appears that there is a very high amount of data being contstantly replicated.

there are about 20 VMs powered on but not yet live or performing any function. is it possibnle that the high amount of mirrored data is becasue the VMs are thin provisioned?

thanks

Is not possible.

Mirrorview works on block replication.

If you have high I/O write on a thin provisioned disk, then you will have the same I/O write on a thick disk.

Check your VM to see were are all those write operations.
