Hello,
i am searching for a billing tool to bill the virtual machines?
I only found a tool form evident:
http://www.evidentsoftware.com/solutions/vm.aspx
Are there are other ones?

I thought Vizioncore has a product that can do charge back style reporting. Maybe Charter?
Yep.. it's esxCharter from VizionCore. I saw a demo at VMworld:
I found the folloing link:
http://www.vizioncore.com/Images/ScreenCaptures/Charter/CharterHostBillbackProp2.jpg
It does not seem to be a dynamic model.
Is there no tool from HP or from citrix?
I think what you do is enter in what the host costs, so you enter the memory price, hardware cost, licensing etc.
Then it reports back on how much of that total is being taken by a guest based on what resources are allocated to it. The cost of the actual guest is dynamic based on the static cost of the host, which is defined on a per host basis.
So if Host 1 costs 50,000 and Guest B is taking 10% of the resource cost of Host 1, Guest B is costing $5,000 to run.
Any updates on the issue of billing tools for VMs? I have been asked to look into any tools that would take advantage of the data already gathered in Virtual Center instead of collecting their own data.
There is a new product called VKernel available in beta right now.
It is delivered as a virtual appliance, see http://www.vmkernel.com.
I'm currently testing the beta2. It still has some drawbacks, but it is worth looking at.

Yes I did install it. The cpu graph is only showing cpu utilization for one cpu and not for several cpu's for esx host. So i think it is showing only cpu0 ?
Did Drag and Drop work for you, like in the manuall described?
