Hi ,
i need to know wich are the requirements to install Xenserver on Esxi5.5.
i l very beginners on virtualization ,but i want to put an Esxi server wich run AD, Exchange ... but also i need to set up a Solution for VDI .
Please Help
Although it is possible to run XenServer on an ESXi host (see Running Nested VMs), it's not meant for production purposes. Why don't you run XenDesktop (or VMware View) directly on ESXi?

Thanks for the reply ;
i need a solution for Virtualizing my servers and also (if possible ) running some remote workers on Virtual desktop.
i don't know wich solution do i need and wich requirement.
can you please give me advise
It actually depends on the size of the environment.
What's I'd suggest you look at is http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere/ for virtualizing the servers and http://www.vmware.com/products/horizon-view for the Client part. Both solutions build on vCenter Server and ESXi hosts.
André
VMware have a VDI solution called "Horizon View" that integrates to vSphere in a nice way and is simpler to install the XenDesktop.
Have a look here:
VMware Horizon (with View): Desktop Virtualization & Application Publishing | United States
but it does not need hardware requirement ;
i have 5 servers to virtulize with an amount of RAM about 40 Gb
,and about 15 client to have VDI ,
wich hardware requirement do i need
From a pure hardware perspective, it would probably be possible to run the complete workload on a single host with sufficient resources (memory, CPUs, disks). However, there are other things which need to be considered, such as redundancy, high availibility, secure remote access, ...
I'd recommend at least two hosts and - if possible - shared storage, which allows a host to take over the VMs in case the other one breaks.

Thank you Very Much ,
now for licensing wich do i need ?
license for Esxi 5.5 and what else for Desktop Virtualisation
Thanks
Unless someone else here in the forums is able to give you a good advice for licensing, I'd recommend you contact a VMware Partner. Due to the different editions and licensing models, it should be determined what fits best for your specific needs so that you end up with the features you need and the price you'd expect for this.
