Vmotion - nic teaming

Feature VMotion. To enable Vmotion in exclusive network card is a requirement for information and IP gateway. These IPs can be created by the virtual switch, or have to inform the LAN physical addresses to which Hosts are bound. Or rather the activation of VMkernel on network card different from the console, by using / setup nic teaming.
Thanks.

To enable VMotion it's best practice to use a dedicated pNic and vSwitch.

Create your vSwich and then 'Add Networking' selecting a vmkernel device. Give the vmkernel device a IP address in the same same subnet as the vmkernel device you create in the same way on the other ESX host. This subnet can be anything not used on any other interface. Enable these devices for vMotion using the checkbox on the properties page. If you have spare pNic you can team this connection, but there are normally better uses for your pNics.
