Vmkwarning files

Guys

How do you control the size of the log files for vmkwarning.1, .2, .3, etc..?

I've got /var/log directories totally filled up to capacity from these monstrous (old) vmkwarning.1 files....and approx 30 odd vmkernel files at around 4 - 6MB each in size..

Can these be analysed?

I don't know really, but a guess would be that it is defined in /etc/logrotate.conf

Various switches for logrotate.conf can be found here http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-1052474.html

As rubeck states, rotation is controlled and policy maintained in /etc/logrotate.conf and which logs to rotate are contained in /etc/logrotate.d directory along with any additional steps after rotating.

Mine is currently configured to keep 4 weeks, and rotate weekly.
