VMware support for Microsoft SW initiator insides Guest OS with vSphere

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I know this works and is supported from my storage manufacturer and Microsoft. I need a support statement or documentation from VMware on this. Therre used to be a SAN Design and Deployment Guide for Vi3 which listed this with some restrictions. Now the document was divided into FC and iSCSI and no mention of 3rd party (MS SW initiator) SW intiiators inside Guest OS support.

Working with a customer on a design for Exchange 2010 and need verification. Thanks

Is this will be enough?

Thanks. I saw this and was looking for something more concrete. This says you can do it and refers to a VI3 SAN design guide for more information. Was looking for a vSphere docand official support statement.

I have the same setup with a VM too. Don't forget about backups as if it's a MS SW initiator inside a VM then you will need to backup in a traditional way rather than using a VMspecific backup method like Veeam or Vizoncore.

Hope that may help.
