I am trying to put a host in maintance mode and a servern wich was working ok cannot migrate ... teh RDM disk has become inaccessible all of a sudden ..

All hosts can still see the LUNS and the serevrs is still up..

I need to migrate this server over and dont have down time

I had a similiar problem, where my RDM got unavailable because the mapping file was still locked by the vMotion source server.

It all ended up for me by deleting the RDM and reassigning a new RDM for the SAN LUN. Maybe you can just add a new RDM to the SAN LUN and then delete the old one. If you could get a downtime you may shut-down the virtual machine and re-create the RDM.

Yes Mitch sorted the problem out.

We have just recently Changed the path so the VM still has the old path . As long as the image is till up and running the VM still stays up . But if shutdown it will not come up as the old path does not exsit anymore .

We have shutdown the servers and reconfigured the RDM with the new path ..

ALL good ..thanks anyway...
