VCB 1.1 - Can I backup only one disk?

Hi All,

I'm trying to recommend a VCB solution for a customer. They have virtual file server with 14 Gig C:\ drive OS volumes, and 1 TB data volumes. Both are individual .vmdk files. The data should probably be on RDMs, but that's another story. Is there a way to only backup the OS volume as a full image, and not touch the large data drive. They have a Backup Exec remote agent for that. My assumption is that with the -FullVM tag on the VCB Pre-command it will attempt to snapshot both .vmdk files, and I only need/want the first.

Much appreciated,

It's possible but you will have to script this yourself... check out the command vcbexport.exe on your vcb proxy host! I wrote a basic script a couple of weeks ago, will have to look it up for you later this day....
