Transferring session between PCs

Hi, I'm trying to figure out if it is possible with VMware to transfer a virtual desktop session between PCs? For instance, a user has a Word document open on a virtual desktop session on PC1, would it be possible for that user to move to a different PC, login to VMware, and continue where he or she left off? (without saving and then re-opening the document)

Welcome to the Forums - The answer to your questoins is yes - what you are describing is VMware View - for instance the user is working on the virtual desktop while at work on their workstation and at the end of the day disconnects from the View environment without logging out of their virtual dekstop - they go home and form their home PC are able to access the very same virtual desktop from their home PC picking up right wher ethey left odd in the office -

As written by weinstein5, the answer is yes.

Because a remote session is just a RDP (or other protocol like PCoIP on View) session, you have only to close the session without doing a logout.

In this case you can reconnect the session at the same point.

Note that some policy can define a session logout after some time... so check group policy and/or View policy.
