SMS on a guest?

Can anyone tell me if SMS and SMS management points work ok on a Windows 2003 server guest sitting on an ESX 3.02 server? I need to reasure the depart that it works fine!?

Hi Stu, I've just finished a pilot with System Center Configuration Manager 2007 with the management point and guests on VMs and haven't experienced any issues related to them running on VMs.

ok, thanks for your reply. We are using SMS 2003 to distribute software.

SMS Client roles are fully supported as of SMS 2003 RTM. SMS Server roles are supported as of SMS 2003 SP2.

Yes, SMS clients work fine. I have the client installed on all my guests and have yet to encounter any problems. Going on 2yrs now.
