Physically moving SAN storage

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here it goes...

We are physically moving our datacenter which will require an outage for our virtual environment and our SAN arrays. I'm curious to know if there are any issues that I may encounter when I bring the SAN and VMware environment back online.

Will the UUID of the LUN's change forcing me to re-register every VM?

are you lun IDs exported from SAN array to the host(s) going to change? - you must ensure they do not (otherwise you will need to resginature vmfs volumes)

of course you must luns are properly visble to the hosts - with zoning lun masking in place - from the SAN side

from ESX point of view - as longs as the lun ids are same - and the hosts have the same level of access to the luns - you should be good

No the LUN ID's will not change. We're just powering down the array, relocating it to another building and then powering it back on. The same will happen for the blade enclosure that houses our host servers.

Thanks for the response.
