PCI-E iSCSI HBAs....

It doesn't look to me like there are any PCI-E iSCSI HBA's certified for use on ESX 3. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Kenny

I don't think you are missing anything, there just doesn't seem to be any out there.

FYI, We buy HP DL servers and for the 385 we've bought the PCI-X riser card (gives you 2 PCI-x and 1 PCIe) and for the 585 they come with 2 PCI-x slots.

The server in question is a Dell 2950. I'll check to see if they have a similar riser card. Thanks!

The only one iscsi hba is the Qlogic 405x - only PCI-X.

You can order the PCI-X riser card for your PE2950 - we made it too.

correction, the G1 servers are all PCI-X, G2's are moving towards PCIe.

I contacted Qlogic and i was told a PCie card will be out in June. Considering the interest in iSCSI with ESX i would expect vmware to accelerate certification.
