Monitoring the Cisco UCS Chassis Hardware - c220?

Hey All,

We have these new Cisco c220 rack mount server in our environment running ESXi 5.0 Update 2.. We are currently a HP shop and we are not too familiar with this new platform.. Does anyone know what is needed to setup the hardware monitoring for these type of servers? Currently for our HP servers we are using WBEM and HPSIM.. What are the you folks using/setup for Cisco gear? Any info would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for the info.. We've decided to use "Sevone" to monitor the hardware using the CIMC interface of the boxes.. Sevone supports UCS systems.. So we we're fortunate to have that product in our environment to do the job.

If you haven't already, you'll want top install the management plug-in for vCenter. That's really all you need to do
