Migrate Windows server from Centos KVM (AMD cpu's) to ESXi (Intel cpu's) ?

I'm trying to move a couple of old Windows VM's off of an old HP blade server that has AMD cpu's running Centos KVM hypervisor onto my newer HP rack server with ESXi.

I took a windows system image backup and did all the config on the ESXi to be able to restrore it to a new VM but when I tried to do so I was hit with a Windows error message saying the system image was for AMD cpu's so can't be restored on an Intel cpu box.

There are possibly other ways to do this, including using 3rd party apps such as Veeam, but I'd be very interested in anyone's ideas so that I don't have to reinstall these servers from scratch.

Thank you!

I'm no KVM expert but see if this link can help you:

Have you made sure the VMs are not using/talking to any cpu hypervisor extensions like Intel VT. This might have been setup for nesting hypervisors for instance. Check the VM settings to make sure it is not dependant on the wrong tech.
