MSCS on ESX - Backup Qorum Required?

Hey All,

We have a new Windows 2008 MSCS running on ESX 4.0 and we are in the planning stages of setting up TSM to backup all the drives.. Is the Qorum drive required to be backup? I am reading mix articles on google stating that you should, some say that it's not required.. Can someone chime in and tell me what you have working in your environment please? Thanks.

I would back it up - if the quorum becomes corrupt then the cluster is toast unless you can recover it.

Thats great.. When we do try to backup the Qorum it fails.. i'm not exactly sure if i need to create a special Q: qorum instance under the Cluster settings.

The quorum should be a dedicated 500Mb disk.
