Hello
Not sure this is the right place to ask... please bear with me
I'm looking for reference documents / best practice guides for the creation on pre-packaged windows 2003 / 2008 server images that will deploy easily in an ESXi environment.
Basically I'd like to prepare some template images to be re-used for actual production server deployment. Altough I have managed to have something working reasonably well all by myself I was wondering if there where best practice guides. I have tried to search the site but I was owhermeld by the ammount of materiel returned, mostly non relevant...
So any pointer would be much appreciated.
Regards
alex
Thanks - interresting document.
Any "real liffer" experience ?
alex
Hello,
The document it the way we almost all create templates. Some people make 'templates' within VC and deploy from template, others mark VMs as templates an clone VMs. Which way you do it really depends on your requirements and whether you have vCenter server, etc.
