Location of VirtualCenter and database

We run our Virtual Center runs on a stand alone server with a connection to a remote Oracle database that is also a standalone server.

This database runs many other instanances and I want to move it to a VM and put it in a Virtual Center cluster.

What I am asking is this a good idea to put part the Virtual Center database on a VM. If I do that why not run Virutal Center in a VM.

What are the pros and cons?

Alot of people run the VC database server and the VC server on VM's. You'll probably be better off putting them on separate VM's though, especially if you are using Oracle. This white paper talks about it...
