Licensing server from other office location

Hi all,

We have a SQL and Oracle servers in Office_1 and not in Office_2.

To start, we'll have one box with VI3 Starter Edition on each offices.

If we decide to use Server-based licensing for VI3, I'm thinking that maybe it's possible to have the Licensing Server in Office_1 because of SQL and Oracle servers there.

The link between the two sites is not fast so I'm making an assumption that the checking of license is not bandwidth intensive.

What's your input on this.

We have this type of setup at a few customers, running VI3 ent.. All ok..

I have never seen a doc from VMware saying you need a certain bandwidth, and I know many companies have remote ESX servers being managed by a central VirtualCenter server.

The issues I remember seeing people posting about were using the remote console to connect to a VM over a slow link, the response was not good.
