Is the training mandatory from vmware authorized training center to be VCP6-DCV ?

I don't get  time to attend the training session, beside i am working on the wmware platform. so i think practicing in my home lab and studding with the vmware official guide is enough.  Obviously training will provide few advance knowledge. But my question is the training mandatory from vmware authorized training center to be VCP6-DCV ? Or just i can directly appear  the exam.

If you do not hold a VCP certification, then the training is mandatory. Please take a look at VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) which lists the recommended steps, and also provides some FAQ. Note that if you are new to VCP6-DCV you'll also have to pass a foundation exam (see link).
