How good is iSCSI - Dell™ PowerVault™ MD3000i for 20 ESX hosts environment ?

Hello Jain,

MD3000i is not a bad choice. But supports only upto 16 hosts. You may have to go for an additional storage. You can also consider a PS4000/PS6000.

Though MD3000i supports RedHat I am not sure of how compatible it would be with ESX servers. Refer these links for further details.

Note 20 hosts are probably a lot of hosts for a single storage.

Try to understand space requirement (to see how many disks you can have) before.

Maybe a couple of Equallogic (one PS6000 and one PS40000, one SAS 15k and one SATA) could be a good solution to have a good scalability and cover both cases for perfomance and disk capacity.
