Hello:
My teammate have setup the CP Data Manager and collect the data. However, they didn't register the Database & upload the data to the VMware Portal. Now, the CP machine was already housekeep. Before Housekeep, they have back the MDB file. May I know is it possible to make use of this MDB file for perform the analysis?
It was because I didn't know does this file contain the performance, inventory.... data or not.
Thanks!
You can try installing CP on a fresh system. After the install, run through the setup wizard, but do not import anything. After the wizard is done, exit CP and then stop the VMware Capacity Planner service. Copy the .mdb file into the installation directory and then restart the services. Start CP again and make sure the scheduler is disabled. Register the database and then perform a MANUAL sync. Wait about a day and you should have data in the Optimize site.

Thx for your information, I have follow the steps but I still can't find any performance data in the VMware Portal. Does it store from the database? How can I have the performance & inventory data from this MDB file?
Thanks!
When you say VMware Portal are your referring to the optimize.vmware.com site? If you ar ethe data form the MDB will have to uploaded to the site for analysis -

Now, I just only have this MDB file & I have setup a CP and replace this file. But in the outbox, it didn't have any data that can upload to the VMware Optimize web. How can I perform the analysis? Please kindly advice and I am new in this way.
Thanks a lot!
The performance data may not be in the .MDB file. I think it may get staged in the outbox until it gets uploaded.

Ohhh, thanks for your information. As mentioned before, the teammate have decommission that machines already and I just have this MDB file. That's means is no way to extract the performance data. I need to re-do the CP assessment again, right?
