hi,

HP P4000 s which was hp lefthand storages gives you all software free for the DR solution that you are looking for. This is the only product of the storage works that gives these software free.

Aupports plenty of OS, including MAC OS-x

Performance internally accceptable. Remember this is a i-SCSI storage and needs lot of modification to data in the middle.

i cant remember the IO performance of this but sure i will reply you with that soon

Hi,

I work for HP partner so i can tell you about HP products and this is my personal experiance.

The array you have given here is not a enterprise class array and this is for medium business.

There are business that have implemented vmware with P class storages and they perform as it should.

Wel, With out knowing whats your expectation from this array i cant be specific.

Overall It can deliver what you expect (for Medium business)

NJ,

We are going to use it for medium bussines, not enterprice level.

I am looking for general info speed, reliability, special features – deduplication, volume snapshots, possible expansion (like put 2 arrays together), replication between 2 arrays (if 1 will be used for DR site) and etc.

I really like Dell Equalogic product (especially like that they do not charge you additionally for any feature you use) but someone recommended to our boss this HP StorageWorks P4500 G2 10.8 TB SAS VirtSAN Solution.

I would be really appreciated for any info.

Thanks a lot
