Have a customer that is replacing old physical server running BAAN ERP application.
They are considering implementing as a VM on VI3.
Everything I have seen and read indicate there should be no performance or application issues running as a VM.
The vendor: http://www.infor.com supports the app within a VM.
Also, we have an existing 2 GB FibreChannel SAN to work with.
However, another consultant recently advised the customer not to run Baan as a VM.
Checking to see if anyone has experience with Baan v4or v6 on VI3.
If yes, can you comment on any performance issues you might have experienced?
What about the setup and config of Baan....any issues or gotchas you care to share?
The customer will have approx 175 users connected to BAAN at all times.
