Dell MD3000i - Media Scans and Vmware

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had issues or problems with running media scans on the MD3000i hosting their vms in a VI3 environment.

Would there be a considerable performance hit while this is running? I am planning to schedule this offpeak hours.

Also any issues when Dell conducts their Dell’s PEPV Maintenance Service (Health Checks)

Your best bet would be to schedule it and then review the /var/log/vmkernel logs in the given time period where the scan occured for any indication of SCSI reservation conflicts or other File system related errors.
