Ddedicated VMNIC for backup?

As we use third-party backup software to backup the virtual machines that stored on SAN data Store - it took a snapshot of the vm, pack all the files (vmdk disk files also) into a zip file, and copy to another file share. Our backup store is on a dedicated network subnets.

My question is: Can I also have one of the VMNIC dedicated (assigned) to the backup network subnet? (But looks like the backup traffics go thru the Service Console subnet by using this kind of backup)

Is it possible?

thanks in advance.

If you add a new vSwitch with a dedicated vmnic, you can create a second service console on this vSwitch. When you create the second service console use an IP address within the same subnet as the backup network...

I confirm: Rubeck option is the best.

Check if this software can work with SAN directly or cooperate with VCB.
