Comparing Quads: Opertion vs. Xeon

Building a system with Dell and when I told them we would be doing virtualization he said I should choose AMD because they are much better for "carving up memory" .

Can someone point me to more information as to why this is supopsed to be true?

this is my opinion.

This is not a perfect science so take with a grain of sault hard statements like Intel is better than AMD or viceversa.
