I have cluster has only 2 host , and each host has numbers of VMs , in case I want to do maintenance in one of the host , what I have to do, ? should I vmotion manually all the VMs and switch the host off, or put the host in maintenance mode ?
Assuming you don't have any DRS rules to keep VMs seperate, when you put the host in maintenance mode it will begin to vmotion the VMs running on it to the other host. When that is complete, you can then shut the host down.
