When doing a inventory of performance scan i get the following error in Capacity Planner:

Can someone tell me what is wrong and how do i correct it??

I have suffered this a few times, what I had to do was create a new Database, basically I stopped the service then deleted the mdb & ldb files in the CP directory, rebooted and then when back into CP (a start over I'm afriad), this seemed to happen on a particular site due to the CP being attached to the Network using a 100mb NIC. Once I had reset the Database and changed to 1GB it was OK.

One thing you might try is to compact your database before you delete everything and start over. You can compact the database from the admin menu on the Data Collector.

I have had mixed results doing a compact as it just seems to compact the corruption !

Hi Eric,

What version of MDAC do you have installed on your system?

It's a Windows 2003 Server with standard MDAC.

This morning I had no more errors. I cleaned up the database one more time. Change the number of collected machines to 10 and everything went fine.

Thnx.

I had this problem and ran a compact and it completely wiped out all my systems and data... Beware!
