Capacity Planner Collector over Multiple VLANS help!

Hi,

Please can someone advise me how to go about setting up the Collector on a site that has 300 machines over multiple VLANS? The VLANs are seperate from each other with no route between each other.

Would this require a collector on each VLAN?

How will i link them together and report to the portal?

All help will be much appreciated.

add the multiple collector ID in each of the capacity planners to the same assessment ..

We never managed to collect it with one collector so you will need to install collector in each vLAN. then register all collectors on the portal so you will have all data consolidated it together in one analysis.

Yes you will need a collector on each vlan.

When you deploy the datacollector it is given a unique ID - you use the ID to assign the data collector to the company ID you have created on the CP web portal - you can assign multiple datacollecotd to the same company ID.

If any of the servers are in a DMZ - again you would use a separate data collector.
