Can't install/use Capacity Planner

Hi,

I'm trying to take a look at the capacity planner (guided consolidation) add-on for my VCP exam. I've got 2 different VC servers (one production, one test). Running the installer on each goes through the motions of installing, but the button never appears in the VI client.

Am I doing something wrong??? Neither VC server is a member of a domain, if that makes any difference...

Cheers,

Iain

Basically navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\VMware\VMware Virtual Center\ and remove the following lines from the vpxd.cfg file and rebooted the server/restart the VC services

<vcp2v>

<dontStartConsolidation>true</dontStartConsolidation>

</vcp2v>

Thanks for the speedy replies!

Changing the cfg file did work, but I had to re-run the install for the CP. Hey ho!

Thanks again,

Iain
