do you know if is possible, using vmware and the consolidate backup to perform a file level backup from the virtual machine?

For Windows virtual machines, Consolidated Backup can automatically discover volumes within the virtual machine snapshot and make the volumes visible to the backup software. The backup software can then make file-level backups from these volumes.

Yes, using a VCB Proxy it is possible to create a file level backup of a Virtual Machine.
