Learn Esxi

Good morning to all of you.

I am newbie in this site.
For professional reasons I have to learn how to manage virtual machines with esxi. I had already used VMs. But as a simple user. Now I should instead learn how to manage VMs on an Esxi server. This is the first level. So I ask you for advice on the best way to learn. Thanks

Hi @beginnerVM ,

Welcome to VMware world and hope you enjoy your everyday learning. I show you two tips to quick start.

  1. Use VMware Hands on Lab
This is free lab environment by VMware and everyone can easliy to use latest VMware product.
    https://labs.hol.vmware.com/HOL/catalogs/catalog/all

There are many types of lab but this is best one for beginner.

  2. Try VMware 1st level certification.
Recently VMware Learning releases "VMware Certified Technical Associate" as below.
After you learn some VMware vSphere techs on the HOL, let's try your knowledge at a exam center.

Hi, as a VMware Trainer, I would initially recommend attending a course.

However I realise that may not be doable, so......

First place to look is the VMware Customer connect learning site

https://vmwarelearningzone.vmware.com/oltpublish/site/cms.do?view=home

At the site you can sign up for a free account to get some introductory training.

Also use the VMware Hands on Labs to have a bit play.
