Certs not showing up in Credly - no help from vmware :(

In April I completed VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V8] course in order to upgrade my VCP certification to 2023.

However in my Credly account I still have no digital badge. 2 of my co-workers have also competed the same course in April and received their digital badge in Credly within 3 days of completing the course.

I emailed certification@vmware.com and was given Case 23849991905. Someone named Koyal who insists on calling me Tolu Taiwo (even though my name is Tamsyn Sinnott and it clearly states that in my signature) advised this cert doesn't have a digital badge!  I find that hard to believe when my fellow co-workers have received theirs literally days after completing the course!

I've had multiple emails with Koyal and I'm getting nowhere! The level of support is truly frustrating and not helpful at all! I've asked Koyal to direct me to someone that can help me but have had no response.

I've never had this issue before, my badges have always just come through to Credly but for some reason this time there's a problem.

If anyone knows who else I can contact, please let me know.

What certification were you upgrading from?

Does the Certification Manager dashboard show the updated certification?

I was upgrading from VCP-DCV 2022 to VCP-DCV 2023.

Yes the cert shows up in Certification Manager

Well there definitely is a badge for VCP-DCV 2023: https://www.credly.com/org/vmware/badge/vmware-certified-professional-data-center-virtualization-202...

The criteria shown on that page are the traditional "training + exam" route, I wonder if your colleagues met those requirements as shown whereas you updated from 2022 to 2023 via the path of training only?

You have the certification, I can't see personally why you shouldn't also get the badge - tagging @KarlChilds and @lbourque to see if they can help.

We all updated by taking the training course so we're all in the same boat except they have their Credly badges and I don't, it's very strange.

Thanks for helping.

I'm still being told there is no digital badge for this even though my co workers have their digital badge! What do i need to do to get this sorted? I keep going back to him and explaining that my co-workers have it but I keep getting the same answer.  I guess at least he got my name right this time!  If anyone knows how I can escalate this, please let me know. I can't believe I'm having to go through this to get my badge! It's extremely frustrating.

Did you send them the link to the badge which I posted previously?

I've already tagged the two people inside VMware who I know might be able to help.

The agent appears to be confused about the PDF version of your certificate earned versus the Credly badge. Credly badges are automatically assigned so there does appear to be an issue with the system flow of data for you in this case. I will speak with my badge program lead and see what I can find out.

I'm all sorted now, I sent them the link and they eventually sorted the credly badge, however Koyan took it upon himself to change my vmware username, no idea why. I asked him why would he do that and to please change it back.

Total nightmare, never ever had this issue before.

Thank you for your help and support.
