We are testing vSphere with some Windows 7 guests. When I come in in the morning, I can't connect to the vm over RDP. When I check the event logs on vCenter it says "your guest has entered a standby sleep state". Once I log in from a console, I can get to it from RDP. I haven't seen this before and I can't tell where to disable this. Anyone know how to stop the vm from going to sleep?
Thanks,
Scott

Thanks a lot. I think I just found this too. I don't know why I wasn't having this issue earlier. I just disabled sleep mode. Hopefully that works.
I would disable ALL power options on your guests, which include monitor and HDD.
