Hi Lucksir:

The Dell T5500 does not come up on the compatibility list, and that processor is not listed in the hardware requirements for ESX 4. It looks like you're up against some unsupported hardware here.

Try to find some info on whitebox configurations:

From the error message seems that you need to boot the ESX with the noapic parameter.

Append this parameter after the quit parameter in /boot/grub/grub.conf

Hi Andre:

I checked those sites too and didn't see the T5500 listed on either one. He could be chasing his tail trying to get it to work reliably, or at all.
